Though this camera works wonderfully for vlogging, it does lack a few features like an auto-zoom. In addition, it could also be much more durable. The device, while spec-heavy, isn’t the toughest around and might have some issues with longevity. Still, it’s great for the cost.

There are many options built into this camera, but you should note that it’s more of a beginner vlogger option than anything else. That means it doesn’t quite have the advanced functionality more experienced users might be used to. If you value usability though, it’s excellent.

The biggest knock against this model is that it can be a bit tricky to understand. The manual is serviceable, but newcomers or people not familiar with vlogging might have some trouble getting everything lined up. It could have a better battery life too.

Another reason this camera works for bloggers is the inherent versatility. While many affordable models skimp on modes, this comes with video pausing, face capture, self-timer, and webcam functionality. The anti-shake feature also works well and the LCD screen is adjustable.
If this has a con it’s that it takes a while to charge up. There are a few important accessories, such as an SD card, that you have to buy separately too. Even so, as a true budget vlogging camera that gets the job done, this knocks it out of the park in terms of features and versatility.
How to Choose a Budget Vlogging Camera
When getting an affordable vlogging camera it’s important to keep these aspects in mind.
Resolution
Image quality is one of the first places where companies skimp when cutting costs. If you want a camera that won’t cost an arm and a leg but still works well for vlogging, you need to make sure that you get something with strong video resolution. That typically means 1080p or higher.
Durability
You never know where your vlogging adventures might take you. That’s why it’s so important to get a camera with a little bit of heft. When looking at more affordable vlogging cameras, do your best to pick ones that are tough or able to handle a few dents and dings without falling apart.
Metal construction goes a long way in this regard, as does waterproofing or weather-resistant construction. Not many cheaper models have such traits, so put extra value on ones that do.
Audio
Sound is another area where companies skimp, and it’s another area that’s critical for vlogging. Do not settle for mediocre here. Try to find an affordable device that also gives you great sound or recording options regardless of where you want to capture your vlog.
Note that you can also buy extra equipment to further improve your camera’s audio quality. That may up the price, especially if you want top-of-the-line sound, but it’s not an area you want to mess around with when trying to record a great vlog.
My Verdict
The Seree Vlogging Camera gets my vote as the best vlogging camera you can buy for under $100. Despite the lower price, it excels when it comes to image quality and functionality. It’s also easy to use, has a strong battery, and is able to see in both bright and low light.
Every budget option sacrifices a few features here and there, but the model from Seree sacrifices the least. It’s a solid pick for any vlogger at any level, delivering a string of strong specs and handy features without ever costing too much.
