The video resolution on this camera is acceptable at 640×480, albeit not exceptional. The image quality, at 20 megapixels is superb. The waterproof case is made of decent quality. The battery life is exceptional, with more than 2.5 hours.
The 20 MP resolution offers exceptionally clear images. It’s a great action cam that can also work well underwater. With advanced features such as games, photo effects, frames, and filters, there are several fun options for kids to enjoy.
However, VTech Cam is waterproof down to only about 6 feet. So kids can have fun in the pool with this camera, but it is not designed to dive deep into the water, as the casing will not continue to be waterproof beyond the 6-foot depth.
My Verdict: This is a great action camera with a lot of good, fun options for kids to explore. The image quality is second to none and it is a decent underwater camera as long as you are aware of the depth limitations.
3. PROGRACE Kids Waterproof Camera (Best Vlogging)

The PROGRACE Kids Waterproof Camera is a good option for children and is a lot of fun to use. It is great for underwater and in-water activities and has a nice video system onboard.
The image resolution is average at only 5 MP, however, where it lacks image strength, it makes up for it in the video. The 1080p high-definition video system produces some excellent underwater footage. The camera is waterproof down to nearly 100 feet and has some excellent color shooting modes.
PROGRACE is super easy to operate and it is also a very durable design. The case is built to withstand drops and bumps and has an IP rating of 68. Additionally, this camera produces excellent underwater video footage.
The only thing that can be improved is the image resolution. The 5 MP camera is marginal at best when it comes to delivering high-quality images underwater. The above-water images are decent, however.
My Verdict: This is a good, affordable option for kids and it’s very easy for them to learn to use. The advanced features such as facial recognition, color modes, and frames are all fun options for kids to enjoy.
