If you’re interested in the full details of what Shroud uses to record, keep reading.

What Camera Does Shroud Use?

Shroud’s primary camera is the Sony a6400 compact mirrorless camera. It’s easy to see why he chose this one.

Mirrorless cameras, in general, are often considered smoother for shooting video compared to DLSRs, but this model also carries the advantage of being compact in design. Its size makes it easier than a larger camera to use as a webcam.

The a6400 also has good enough image quality, even though it isn’t a top-of-the-line model. The sensor is 20.1 megapixels and can shoot 4K video in up to 30 frames per second.

Some might be disappointed by the lack of 60fps 4K shooting, but being limited to 30fps is somewhat expected at the a6400’s price point.

What Camera Did Shroud Use Before?

It’s also been speculated that Shroud has used the Sony a6000. The a6000 is a model in the same line as the a64000, but it was released years earlier.

For recording, the a6000 is somewhat similar to its newer cousin. However, thanks to being released earlier, the a6000 has no 4K capability.

Even though it can’t record in 4K, it can record at 30fps in 1440p or 60fps at 1080p.

The a6000 is still a decent option in the present day, and one of the main reasons is its price.

Since more advanced models have come out, the a600 has lowered to a price that’s pretty friendly to new photographers and those looking to add another camera body to their collection on a budget.

What Headset Does Shroud Use?

Shroud’s choice of headset is the Logitech G PRO X gaming headset. The headset is designed for performance, coming with an external USB sound card to guarantee better audio quality.

This sound card allows the user to utilize Logitech’s Blue Voice technology, which promises noise reduction and better mixing for cleaner communications. The headphones are also designed to simulate surround sound to help with positioning in games.

Of course, these headphones have some features meant for comfort too. The ear pads are made with memory foam, and the user can choose between leatherette or velour material.

What Microphone Does Shroud Use?

Shroud uses the Shure SM7B microphone. This studio mic is versatile and designed with several things in mind, from podcasts to music.

While this one isn’t the most expensive microphone on the market, it is definitely above the entry-level in price and quality.

Shure’s shock isolation and pop filter are designed to cut out background noise, making this one especially fitting for streamers and podcasters.

Along with this microphone, Shroud uses the RODE PSA1 microphone boom arm. The boom arm mounts to the table and provides up to a 32.5” horizontal and 33” vertical reach.

What Graphics Card Does Shroud Use?

Shroud uses the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card from NVIDIA. The 3090 is, of course, one of the top of the line models available right now from NVIDIA.

It’s powerful enough to not just handle regular tasks like gaming but also more advanced ones like video editing and streaming while playing a game.

The card has 24GB of memory, a significant benefit for content creators who need to run heavy programs or multitask.

Also, for a gamer like Shroud, having a card like this guarantees the high framerate needed to stay competitive. You can’t go wrong with the 3090, but you’ll have to pay a premium to get your hands on one.

What Monitor Does Shroud Use?

Shroud uses an Alienware 24” gaming monitor. Alienware’s gaming monitors come with a 240hz refresh rate, making them faster than the standard monitor by a good margin and providing smoother gameplay.

This monitor also has sync technology from AMD, further providing an edge in gaming by cutting down on artifacts, tearing, and other distortions.

It also features easy-to-reach buttons on the back, taking some hassle out of using the monitor controls.

What Keyboard Does Shroud Use?

Shroud’s keyboard is the Logitech G PRO mechanical keyboard. In fact, because of a deal with Logitech, Shroud has his own version of this keyboard that is decorated with his colors and name.

The keyboard was designed with gaming and competition in mind, with a ten-keyless layout that maximizes room for mouse movement. The keys are designed to have a tactile feel and to not slip up and accidentally press down easily.

Also, the keyboard’s USB cord is detachable to make traveling with it easier. The keyboard’s angle can additionally be adjusted across three steps, providing more control to the user.

What Mouse Does Shroud Use?

Shroud’s mouse is also from Logitech. He uses the G303 Shroud Edition, a customized design with his input.

As expected, the design of the mouse is targeted toward gaming. It’s designed to have as little delay as possible while functioning wirelessly, and the mouse only weighs in at 75 grams for faster movement and targeting in-game.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t just a cosmetic collaboration. The Shroud Edition is a relevant spinoff of the original G303 because it brings a wireless capability to that older model.
